I was going to wait for the next iPhones however I've been offered a great deal by a good friend, a brand new 64GB iPhone X for £150 plus my Pixel 2 XL.

I'm just wondering if 64GB is enough for my circumstances. I've had my Pixel for a few months and used 40GB, the most is from my Spotify library (10GB). I don't download any games and only plan on having this phone for a year.

Sounds like your usage is pretty similar to mine. I think 64 GB is a fine size if you aren't taking a huge pile of pictures and videos every day or have 100s of apps installed.

Under normal usage, you may get by. However, the moment you begin to really use the device up to its stated feature set (4K videos and content downloads to watch on Netflix or Amazon or in your media players like Infuse), 64GB will begin to feel cramped. 128GB is the sweet spot at the moment and Apple was plain penny-pinching to give us 64GB on a flagship device with such capabilities.

More than enough for me, mostly because I have unlimited data and don't bother downloading anything to the phone.

I think 64GB absolutely sounds fine for you.

The larger storage sizes are for packrats who absolutely have to carry around every movie or piece of music that they own plus downloads from Spotify, carry their photo library in full res etc etc.

And/or those who are shooting movies in 4K all of the time of their kids or something.

If you’ve just got a few apps and want to cache your Spotify plus Netflix etc, 64GB is great!

Yes, this is why I am calling 64GB as less. Moment you start shooting videos and have some content in the phone already, you will feel cramped pretty soon.

you should be fine from what it sounds like. Me personally, I like a little more since I have a lot of photos and videos

Yeah true. But then it depends in you absolutely need to carry that video around with you. All depends if the OP is going to shoot lots of 4K, if so in one day (in between iCloud photo back ups) and absolutely has to have those videos on device.

This.

128GB was perfect. 64GB is too limiting for a lot of people and 256GB is overkill for most.
