I am trying to setup a home system with a well powered "machine for the future" but I feel really awkward buying a machine with 3 year old parts in it. Would this be a solid machine for another 3 years? I am *not* a graphics nut, or anything. I just want a mac intel desktop that can drive two monitors solidly and run photoshop and Final Cut every once in a blue moon. I have found off lowendmac.com a descent priced used machine. Should I wait until the i7's come out? I have the cash, but I am a budget minded person. Are the specs in the Quads worth the cash?
Thanks!

I just bought a 2.8 quad core off the refurbished website for 200 more. try that out.
