Why isn't the Mac Pro range prefix available in this forum?

I think it's because the powers that be want Mac Pro discussion in the Mac Pro forum:

Mac Pro models from this time period should, however, be discussed in our Mac Pro forum.

Its usage is quite limited with Mac OS, since the latest MacOS you can install in El Capitan (pikified).
For Linux OS => I haven' tried Linux
Windows: I've installed and run Windows 10 64bit (with some tricks). Not really tried any software yet.

As someone with real world daily use on OS X Leopard it can definitely be usable as a daily in 2025 no problem. Its very powerful for the hardware. The only thing is you will be stuck on period correct software which is fine, you will have to use TenSixTube for youtube, and TenFourFox or Interweb as a browser.
But ya more than usable as a daily as long as your not a power user who needs to use up to date software or do highly professional things (to some extent) ie: you could still professionally edit pictures no problem with a 2006 Mac Pro using Aperture or Adobe Photoshop. Even using period correct music software would be a breeze to work with. Its a Mac Pro after all; they are literally made for professional power users.

I don't have a 06 Mac Pro but I do have a 09 Mac Pro Quad Booting into Leopard Server, Snow Leopard, Lion & Mountain Lion. And I use this thing every single day no problems on these OS'. I also daily a early 2008 MacBook Pro on Snow Leopard and i can say forsure the hardware is compareable with an 06 Mac Pro if not the Mac Pro is even more powerful. So for sure a breeze to use daily in real world use.

Of coarse you may have to do some small workarounds to get things running as good as a new OS such as downloading a browser that works or TenSixTube but these are one and done solutions. Once you have it your golden and good to go.
