Hi,

is a bit of colour change from a blue-ish tint at the top to a yellow-ish tint at the bottom on my MacBook Pro 17" screen (with antiglare coating) normal?

You could have a legitimate problem, but it seems like yellow tint on new macs has a bit of a placebo effect feel to it.

I think people are looking for this problem.

Yep, I'm sure I must be imagining it on mine... But the whites on my 1st gen iPod Touch are much whiter...

Replaced my AG 17" 2009 3 times before I got agood one, and even then the backlit keyboard was uneven.

15" 2009 left, 17' 2009 right.

So when you guys do this test (put the window full screen), the grey line on the bottom is definitely not different in colour from the one at the top?

In my case, there is a difference, a slight yellow tinge. Yes, it is very subtle, but definitely noticeable and for the work I do, I need a screen that has the same colour at the top as at the bottom... I can't stand getting stuff exchanged all the time. Sorry if I am being annoying with this, but after two iMac 27" exchanges, a refund on the iMac (got fed up with playing the yellow tinge lottery) and one MacBook Pro 17" exchange (the first one I got 3 days ago had a backlight issue), I am really frustrated.. I just want to have a perfect mac for once and just get on with my work.
