Hey

so after a disastrous accident my late 2012 iMac screen was cracked (fell of desk, 3 year old daughter exploring in home office......)

The screen works perfectly apart from a couple of cracks at the top of the screen.

I have since replaced the screen with a refurb and that's working well, but i was wondering if the cracked one is worth anything given its still working, the LCD is not damaged under the glass etc

Looked on ebay but i cant find any other screens for sale

Any ideas?

There are people who separate iPhone lcds and working digitizers from the glass itself and fuse it onto a new glass but even separating a 4 inch screen looks like a huge task from what I've seen. But on the other hand the risk for the reward is quite a bit higher due to the high cost of the screen.I would put it on ebay and list it as working just with the glass cracked and I figure there is someone out there who will pay you quite a bit for it.
