So I am looking for a iPad on Craigslist becuase there is NO way my dad can afford a Brand New iPad and is a iPad 2 Worth it? It would Manley used for YouTube, iFunny, and games. I would only use the art apps just for fun to see if I can make something decent. I have a iPod, which if I get a iPad I have to give it to my dad. So is it worth it?

I would say yes, as long as the lo-res screen doesn't bother you. It will get the iOS 7 update and is still widely supported with apps and such.
If you can find a good deal on a 3rd gen, go for that as it has a retina display with makes a huge difference.

Yes. For a "budget" tablet the iPad 2 is excellent. Way better than any type of Kindle Fire/Generic Android Tablet. If you can't afford an iPad 3 then iPad 2 will still be a good choice.

You can get a 16 gb Apple refurbished iPad 2 for $319.

A refurbished 16 gb iPad mini is $279.

Apple refurbished iPads are like brand new ones. I'd say it's better than buying on craigslist...

Agreed. Just bought two refurb iPad minis in the last month or so. At the current refurb prices I see absolutely no argument for buying new other than having it in your hand the same day, if that's something you need.

ipad 2 is fine if you can afford it. I paid iPad 2 off ebay for reasonable price for 32GB I enjoy all many latest apps on my iPad 2 without any problem. :apple:

Refureb ipad4 16 gig is 419 dollars from apple store.
I love my refurbed ipad4 I almost got an ipad2

I'd go for a refurb iPad 3 or 4 at this point. The iPad 3 refurb is a particularly good deal. When the iPad 5 comes, I bet the prices will plunge even further. Don't do a low res screen--there's no reason to.

as an ipad 2 owner and someone who has compared my 2 next to the 3 & 4 many times, I say go for it, as long as the price is right. als if bought off cl, try to get one that still has AppleCare or original 1 year warranty. peace of mind if there's an initial problem.

Ummm.....I think it depends on the price.

Is it worth it for 30.00, YES.

Is it worth it for 300.00, NO!

$300 is way too much. I'd say $175 or less would be a fair price for a basic Ipad 2. Mine still works like it's new and I have no need to upgrade. For reading, it's not very good though. Retina is a must for that.

ive had my iPad 2 since launch and i still love it today.

For me the speed increase and retina screen isnt worth it for me........yet.

Might upgrade in March wen the 5th gen may come out.
