Ive recently learned about the wonders of RAID and would like to have back up copies of my music folders, dvds and recorded TV, i went with a G4 because its old, cheap and has OS X. But is it a good choice? I have an old gateway 600 mhz pentium 3 laying around which would probably be okay. i would need this for wireless access and streaming. The most important feature is it has to be able to hold at least 700 GB. I also would like windows for those rare occassions when i need it, is virtual PC worth it? is it even sold?

thanks

I think your P3 might do the job, though a G4 might do it better depending on what you get. I'm actually building a machine to do just about what you're doing, and I'm going with a 500Mhz G4 in a standard PC case for more storage space and whatnot.
