My iPhone has been shipped and the tracking info doesn't mention anything about a required signature. I know Apple shipments via FedEx require a signature. Is this the case for UPS? If so, are we able to presign for UPS packages? According to apple.com, my iPhone is still being prepared to shipped, albeit it already having shipped, otherwise I'd check.

I'm going to call UPS eventually but sometimes the MR community knows about this stuff more than their employees since we do this every year. I just can't recall what the case is with UPS.

Yes Apple always requires signatures for these things. And you can pre sign. At your own risk of course, but it can be done.

Edit: At least as far as I am aware. Before most have accepted signatures for door drop off.

You can pre-sign through apple or you can also setup a UPS mychoice account for free and in the preferences you can authorize all deliveries to waive signature. If it gets stolen you are out of luck.
