Is all lost?

In trying to fix a bookmark problem in Firefox I app zapped it in order to install a fresh version.

Not time machined or backed up in any way and now all my bookmarks from the version I app zapped are gone.

Is there any way to restore these lost bookmarks?

Thanks, my excuse is jet lag and just plain foolishness! Duhhhh Tomorrow I'm buying an external HD for time machine!

Hi, thanks for the answer. I found "bookmarks" backup in trash but don't know what to open them with...and then if these are the BM's how to re store them to the new version of Firefox I have downloaded. Thanks again for the answer. Any additional directions will be greatly appreciated. So many of the BM's were for my work...ugh

Copy the latest bookmark file into
<user>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<...>.default/bookmarks.html

Check to see if you have a bookmarks.html file already in the trash. That should be the latest one.
