Is AllThingsD a reliable source for the predicted Oct. 4th Apple Event?

There have been so many event predictions that have been wrong lately, like the supposed 'September event' that was reported in August.

I just don't want to get my hopes up for nothing, the wait is literally killing me!

AllthingsD is an extension of the Wall Street Journal. Walt Mossberg is the main Apple guru.

It is a very legit reporting site. Mossberg usually gets priority access to all of Apple's toys for review prior to the main public.

You mean John Paczkowski and Kara Swisher. Walt doesn't report to many (if any) Apple rumors, its generally always John and Kara (or mostly John with kara saying look what John reported).
