If I have an Iphone that is currently ATT, and a I wanted to switch to Sprint service, is this possible, or do I have to buy a new Iphone.

Im about to take a new job, they issue blackberrys on sprint network, and pay for my bill.

Your iPhone is most likely locked to AT&T's network and will not work on sprint. Even though it's a 'world phone', apparently the GSM version won't work on CDMA networks anyways.

It should work on CDMA networks.

But Sprint and Verizon "lock" down their CDMA network and claim in the best interest of security they won't activate CDMA phones that they don't like.

It's funny that AT&T gets bad press by locking down their GSM phones while their CDMA counterparts are far worse. There should be an unlocked CDMA phone but Verizon and sprint don't want it on their network.

All iPhone 4S are the same except they are configured to work in only certain CDMA or GSM networks.
