I know the argument is why buy a $700 phone but stick a $2 charging cable with it but if it's been MFi certified then surely it would be okay?

There's:

Amazon Basics - £9.99

1Byone - £7.99

TeckNet - £5.99

I know there is a similar thread but I wanted to gauge discussion about MFi certified cables and the price difference, not really a recommendation.

No cable is 2$ that is mfi certified, unless shipping is 8$ or more I believe.

if the cable says it is mfi certified, then it is good to use. MFI mean made for i(pod, pad, phone) and has been "okayed' by apple.

Went with the Teknet one in the end.
Just hope it's as good as the amazon basic one, which seemed pretty smart. Will only be using it for charging at work though so shouldn't have too much usage time.
