Sometimes I am STILL just in awe over how damn gorgeous it is. That also makes me worried though, that I will be disappointed by the screen on my mini, when I get it tomorrow though. :(. This retina screen is breathtaking.

I have both an iPad 2+3 and I still don't find the iPad 2 screen ugly. It still looks good so I don't see why the Mini should look bad? I'll probably pickup a Mini with the next refresh.

It's the reason I upgraded from my original ipad, that and the loss of software updates ;)

Like anything, you grow used to it and it just blends in but if you stop to notice it then yes it is amazingly amazing.

I've not been able to move from my chair since July. My wife has to bring me food in because I'm awe struck.

My wife has the iPad 2 and I have the old "new" iPad. Whenever I glance at her on the 2 it looks like she is playing Minecraft.

I hated iPad 1 screen
iPad 2 screen also SUCKS
iPad 3 screen... well it's "okay" because I was already spoiled by the iPhone 4 screen.

iPhone 5... amazing... it actually WORKS UNDER THE SUN! That I am a little bit blown away.

Depends what you are looking at.
I read a bunch of comic books and graphic novels on the retina and it's damn sweet.

Sure, I would prefer a lighter slightly smaller form factor, but I know I would distracted by the lower image quality after being spoiled.

I am going to try out the new Nook HD.
Smaller reader with excellent screen.

Yes. Constantly amazed at how clear it is.

Actually I like the display on the iPhone 5 even better. Perfect brightness. Feels like a sheet of colorful paper rather than a display.

I hope I can deal with the iPad Mini display. The light weight and thinnest is very enticing.

I absolutely doubt about Retina Display on next iPad mini...

Apple will be under a lot of pressure to bring the price down on iPad mini. So, they will most likely bring it down to 299 dollars next time.

Apple cannot just put retina display on iPad mini with this kind of costs

Once apple puts that on then no one will buy iPad with 9.7 inch screen.

Nope. It's a nice to have but the smaller size was definitely more important to me.

iPhone 5 is too small to be useful for books, emails, document editing and websites in a way that I prefer.

So... is iPad mini the "sweetspot"?

iPad WAS the sweetspot and its no longer?

I honestly don't think size of the iPad is the problem as much as it's got weight problem in 3. (iPad 2 was nice I'd have to say).

Mini isthe sweet spot for me.

No, not blown away at all. Too busy playing on the retina MBP for the last few months... :D

You won't be disappointed by the mini -- it's not a retina but it's better than ipad2...
