Is anyone elses home button a bit temperamental?

Just started using my new iPhone and is it just me, or does the home button only work 90% of the time? Sometimes it takes repeated presses just to exit an app.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yep it happens to me too.

Usually if pressing the home button once, and you can't get out of the application right away, hold it down for a bit and it should force to quit the application.

I was beginning to worry maybe there was a fault with my phone.

Hopefully a 2.1 software update should fix all the bugs! And there are plenty of them.

The pressing down the home button seems to work though!

I noticed you have to hit it right in the center, or it won't work

I am recognizing the same issue with my home button. The home button was never this problematic with the first generation iPhone so I was beginning to wonder if it a problem with my 3G phone.
