I just had an error message saying "PDP authentication failure" and then my phone is not connecting to LTE. When I restart the phone, it shows "No service" for a while and then seems to connect to 4G.

Does anyone have or had a similar problem?

I'm in Oakland and am getting LTE just fine.. maybe you have local tower down?

Weird.. I think I should call at&t. I was in Palo Alto when I first saw this and I still have it in San Mateo.

2 iPhones having this issue in Phoenix, AZ. AT&T.

When did it start to happen? Was it around 7PM? I see that some areas just started to get LTE. At&t probably messed up while expanding LTE coverage...

I got the same error with AT&T in Sunnyvale. Drove up to Mountain View and it is working fine.

I'm in Modesto CA on AT&T. Happened around 8pm, was showing LTE, then no service, now only connects to 4G and sometimes cuts out to no service.

Yes.. I don't remember exactly when it started to happen, but it was definitely between 7 and 8 PM. I have the exact same thing. Going back and forth between "no service" and 4G. I was calling at&t but got disconnected because my phone lost the cell connection.

Annoying.. but kinda relieving to know I am not alone...

I'm having problems in Berkeley. My phone won't connect to LTE and it's been saying no service...but when I go to make a call it magically connects again and the bars come back (to "4G" not LTE).

I have AT&T as well.

Sf here. Normaly 5 bars LTE at my place. Now 4g only and get no service from time to time. Called AT&T and they said hold times will be long due to a west coast issue.

Same Same

Started freaking me out a bit, but same issue here. In San Francisco downtown, also iPhone 5. If you turn off LTE it seems to work fine, but toggling that on will either show NO SERVICE or cause the 'PDP Authentication Error message.'

I got that error message again for the Second time. Here's the screen shot.

Thank gosh I am not the only one. Got the same PDP authentication failure and currently am not getting LTE like I normally do (only 4G). Hopefully it fixes itself tomorrow. I am in Fremont btw.

My guess is to many people are texting "go giants" lol.

I think it's an LTE iPhone 5 issue with AT&T. Have an old BB bold I use for testing with work and its sitting in 3G rock solid.

Same thing here in walnut creek but it was happening before and after the giants win. It did get worse after they won though.

Yes. Seems like it. At first I though AT&T had screwed up my data provision. Called in earlier. In 2 days, when my new billing cycle starts, my family plan will be shifting to mobile share. Yep... I am giving up my unlimited. I only use about 1-1.5 GB /mo anyway. Going to be sharing 10GB with 3 iPhones and 2 dumb phones now. Just glad to be able to tether and FaceTime over cellular now.

Anyway... looks like an LTE outage and now a problem with my plan.
