As per the title, I’d like to know if a 23” ACD works well with a 2017 MBP?

I expect a DVI to HDMI cable attached to a HDMI to USB-C is the way to go with a second USB to USB-C for the USB hub on the back of the display?

Would like to know how it works in practice.

Or if there is a better way? For example, using the Apple USB-C Multiport?

I have no problem. USB-C dongle (Apple 3way USB-C to USB-C, USB-B, and HDMI), then HDMI-DVI dongle (something I had around on shelf) and DVI cable to monitor. I tried other setups with non-Apple dongles and worked also. I use this 3-way dongle since it can power, run my TimeMachine disk and monitor using one connector. It's bit crazy to have HDMI-DVI dongle there also, though. Note, 13.2 is OK and no problem, prior versions tended to crash once in a while.

Great news, thank you for this.
