I am using Kagi after evaluating both that one and Neeva. Which one are you using? Or are you using Google with some extension or something to remove ads?

Been paying for an using Kagi and enjoying it for the most part
I like being able to customize and/or prioritize certain sites results

Does it remove the ads even from Google?
Yeah I like that feature too. Neeva has it but it's more limited.
Does it slow down the web surfing in any way? I tried AdLock but surprisingly it slowed things down so I cancelled and asked a refund.
Google search or some other Google service? I use DuckDuckGo for search, but I just tried a Google search and I don't see any ads.

I have used Adguard for years on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Windows. Have not noticed slowdowns.
I use Google and a browser extension, uMatrix. I've used that for several years both in Mozilla based browsers and Chrome based browsers.
If uMatrix is too complicated (some people think it is), try uBlock Origin, which is a simplified version. Both of them will block trackers and third party analytic sites as well.
