I use a Canon GL2 for production and have accumulated many dv tapes to capture. To eliminate time in the editing studio I am thinking of purchasing the FS-CV DTE Recorder. Though I do have some fears...
Currently, I'm editing on an iMac quadcore with only one FW800 port, this port connects my G-tech 2tb Raid external drive. Can I daisy chain the DTE Recorder and the external through a firewire cable or should I just connect straight to the iMac, then connect the external and drag n drop into it?
I fear the the DTE will smooth out my workflow while also creating other speed bumps in the process.
