I started using Dia today after receiving an invite from a colleague who previously used Arc. So far, I really like it - the interface is slick, and the AI features seem promising, though I haven’t tested them enough yet to know if they could replace Perplexity AI for me.
Performance-wise, Dia is impressively fast, and I appreciate the overall design. However, I’ve noticed a few limitations:
Despite these issues, I could live with the current limitations, but I haven’t used the browser enough to decide if it could be my default.
What about you? Have you tried Dia, or are you currently using it?
Performance-wise, Dia is impressively fast, and I appreciate the overall design. However, I’ve noticed a few limitations:
- The autofill feature for Things 3 doesn’t work yet. When I use the keyboard shortcut, the autofill popup appears, but it doesn’t automatically set the title and URL of the current page like most Chromium-based browsers do. For now, I’m using a bookmarklet from Claude Opus 4 as a workaround.
- I haven’t figured out how to change the location of a bookmark or edit it - maybe I’m missing something obvious.
- There’s no syncing yet.
Despite these issues, I could live with the current limitations, but I haven’t used the browser enough to decide if it could be my default.
