I started using Dia today after receiving an invite from a colleague who previously used Arc. So far, I really like it - the interface is slick, and the AI features seem promising, though I haven’t tested them enough yet to know if they could replace Perplexity AI for me.

Performance-wise, Dia is impressively fast, and I appreciate the overall design. However, I’ve noticed a few limitations:
  • The autofill feature for Things 3 doesn’t work yet. When I use the keyboard shortcut, the autofill popup appears, but it doesn’t automatically set the title and URL of the current page like most Chromium-based browsers do. For now, I’m using a bookmarklet from Claude Opus 4 as a workaround.
  • I haven’t figured out how to change the location of a bookmark or edit it - maybe I’m missing something obvious.
  • There’s no syncing yet.

Despite these issues, I could live with the current limitations, but I haven’t used the browser enough to decide if it could be my default.

What about you? Have you tried Dia, or are you currently using it?

Nope.......doesn't work/load on my machine: M1 Studio ultra macOS 12.7.6.

I started using the new AI browser called Comet by Perplexity, and I'm really impressed. I tried it for some shopping tasks, like researching all the ingredients for a recipe and adding them to my grocery cart. It worked great, even though the website is in Finnish. Truly impressive!

I also tested its integration with Google apps like Calendar and Mail. It's amazing, and this is just the beginning. I can't wait to see what will be possible in a year.

Who else is trying this new browser? I like Dia's aestethics but AI feature-wise Comet is on another level really.
