Given Apples huge position in the streaming music industry, could Apple be purchasing Beat Saber and the studio behind it?

The latest rumor about was a Twitter post made by the lead of Queen regarding June 5th “🍿🕶️”..

I would expect Apple acquires new talent to help develop VR applications and games.

Certainly they could just work with Beat Saber to get a post. But it would be a huge deal if Apple acquired them… If they did I would expect Apple to make Beat Saber exclusive to Apple VR.

Anyone else speculate this?

I think they might because this Beat Saber is one of the most popular apps for VR and a lot of people would expect Apple VR to have it

Ah I see now Meta bought it. I bet Apple is going to develop their own real soon given they have rights to music streaming and you can’t really patent / prevent clones of beat saber

Apple has a contract with music labels for music streaming. That does not mean they have a right to make games that synchronize to streamed or purchased music. That would require a renegotiation of their contract.

Perhaps Apple would announce Mark Zuckerberg up on stage at WWDC and speak about how they are both working together to bring the best version of Beat Sabre to the Apple XR headset. ;)

I am joking of course, but it's a shame GIANT companies cannot put their own personal human bickering to one side at times and work together for the benefit of the actual consumer You and I.

But of course we live in a world where CEO's of companies act like little children who will be petty and refuse to do things together.

If Google can copy the iPhone, Apple can create a version of Beat Saber using your hands only called Chop Saber…

In one of the WWDC videos for developers, there’s an illustration of a hand chopping a pineapple.

Playing Beatsabre with no physical feedback via some type of thing you hand would be horrid, it's part of the feeling of the experience.
Even something like a little golf game, a little haptic feedback as you swing the club and hits the ball adds to the realism
Swinging you hands around with zero feedback would be a worse experience.
