Is apple releasing 2 phones (UMTS and GSM)

Hey I am wondering about this. You can buy a new iphone 4(soon) at an apple store and it is supposed to be unlocked.

On the apple specs page for the iphone 4 it lists the following:
UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)
GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)

Is apple going to release 2 phones based on what your carrier uses or does the phone pack it all it?

UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA is 3G.
EDGE/GSM is 2G.

Same phone.
