Hi,

I was following a subject at a brisk pace and I was surpised at how smooth the 12 PM video was using standard lens with sensor shift. Is apple using gyro data to smooth out the up/down jitters you normally get on a DJI/Zhiyuan gimbal? It almost seems like they are using gyro data like that app that smooths out a7siii footage.

What else should they use? Gyro and accelerometer is the only sensor chip for tracking movements

I am asking if they are using gyro data to add additional real time electronic stabilization like Sony catalyst browse does in post.

Here is Sony Catalyst browse for post-processing stabilization of a7siii video.

They for sure use it for the sensor shift technology in the Max and ois in the others.
Thats why i asked what else they should use as an input to measure movement and control the output...

combination of mechanical and electronic stabilization. even when I pan it smooths out the movement. something definitely beyond mechanical stabilization.
