I recently purchased a 512GB MacBook Air with M1 and so far I am delighted with what it brings to the table. Now considering each and every component is soldered on to the logic board I am curious about the underlying technology behind the SSD used on these new Macs, wether its a TLC or QLC drives.

I installed DriveDx today and found that its an Apple NVMe Q-series SSD with AP0512Q being the model number. Now it seems that Q might just stand for QLC.

Perhaps expect low TBW from these MacBooks even with APFS filesystem?
