I have an Apple Watch 4 w cellular that I purchased at Verizon. We're currently considering switching all of our phone lines to AT&T, and would get new phones but I would want to switch my existing watch from Verizon to AT&T. Is that possible? I've read that the watch and the phone it's linked to need to be with the same carrier, but haven't been able to find out if the watch comes unlocked for any carrier, so to speak, or if it will only work with Verizon. Thanks in advance for any info!

Your watch will work with whichever carrier your phone is on assuming they support addition of the AW.

Can't speak for the US market. In Germany we had a strange situation lately. AW with e-sims from discounters (they are resellers of our big carriers like Vodafone or T-Mobile) stopped working from one day to the other. Some tech blogs investigated and it seems to be the case that the e-sim provider has to be "licensed" from Apple somehow. Quite annoying for the folks with cellular Apple watches, they have to change their provider now to be able to use a multi sim.
