Is the max still 7.5 watts?
I currently have the USB C charger with the cable and it’s very fast, but have it only at home, at work I’d like to have something more convenient and wireless charging would give me that option without clutter.

No. The new 2018 iPhones can do 10W.

Source? Not doubting you, just want to know. The couple articles I read shortly after launch day said it seems they’re still 7.5W, but more efficient, allowing for faster charging than last year’s X. Also the new Belkin charger Apple is advertising on their website is 7.5W so that also leads me to believe it’s capped at 7.5W (yet, still faster).

There are no details so its impossible to know for certain what Apple really means by supporting faster wireless charging. It might be about supporting 10W, or it might be about supporting 7,5W for longer as the iPhone X and iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is supposedly only charging at 7.5W at bursts so it might be that it can sustain the 7.5W charging speeds for longer this time around. Its impossible to say for certain without Apple actually giving details.

Someone could of course test this by comparing charging times on a 7.5W charger and a 10W charger and compare the results.

I wish Apple would clarify this or some expert would test this. Makes a difference of which charger you need to buy.

If it was actually 10W, that'd be a marketable point and Apple would have advertised it. Faster wireless charging (to me) implies more efficient charging, which would also charge the phone faster.
