Is applecare refundable?

If I trade in or sell an apple device with a year or more of applecare left, is there a way to apply the remaining applecare time to a new apple advice, or get a refund on the applecare time remaining?

To answer your question yes you can receive a prorated refund.
But as also said it does increase the resale value a bit.
