Jailbreaking itself doesn't affect battery life, but the JB apps might. By google, outlook, yahoo do you mean email?

sometimes the first version of a new jb can have problems, but usually at the end of the first day or in the second day of the jb app being out, any bugs are squashed in fast updates of said application. Battery life shouldn't change after jb, until you start adding more cool stuff to run in the background which in turn will cause you to use more battery than before...
