Is bitesms giving me this error?

I haven't been able to update cydia in about 4-5 days.

BiteSMS recently changed their beta repo to a different URL. The old one probably just isn't working anymore. Update your repo to the new URL. I believe it's cydia.bitesms.com

biteSMS is not the cause. There is a lot of traffic due to the new themes section of Cydia. It is causing Cydia itself to run slowly. Follow @saurik on Twitter for the official word.
