I have been wanting an Apple Watch Stainless Steel for quite some time now and thought the series 3 would be the one where I jumped aboard. The problem is however, that I live in Denmark where only the series 3 non-cellular becomes available on the 22th with no release date on the cellular version in sight.

Since it surely will be months before it's released here I was wondering if you guys think a series 2 SS is still worth the money. I don't really need cellular anyways, but is it stupid to throw money after the series 2 instead of waiting for the updated version with improved proccesor and other improvements?

If you can find a good deal on the Series 2, and are happy with what it offers, go for the Series 2.
If you have enough funds to cover the Series 3, and are okay with waiting for the watch to be available in Denmark, go for it.

The Series 2 is a good product. If I were in your shoes and found a great deal on it, I would just go for it.

What would you consider a great deal? :)

I'm not familiar with retailers in Denmark. But for example in the US Target and Best Buy occasionally have $70 off the Apple Watch. If you could score a Series 2 for >$70 (or closer to $100) off, I think that would be a solid deal.

At $469, the refurbed SS Series 2 42mm is a REALLY good deal.

Get it now and use it until some magical new battery technology makes the cellular versions last a lot longer with LTE usage.

Series 2 is still a very much viable Apple Watch and the brighter dislay, 50 M water resistance and GPS functionality is nice to have. I imagine other retailers will have some nice sale prices soon.

I'm upgrading from a Series 0 stainless watch. Although the LTE seems great, I'm unsure if I want to spend $600 on a new watch. So I too have my eye on a stainless steel series 2. Where I can get the much improved processor and better battery life, without spending so much money. My biggest gripe with the series 0 is the battery life. And hearing about how much better the series 2 is, I think it may be worth it.

Same here. I was pretty disappointed that we can only get the series 3 SS with LTE. I'm going to keep my eye out on Swappa for a gently used Series 2 SS to replace my series 0. I am also throwing around the idea of getting the series 3 space gray. But I prefer SS since I really like the look, especially how well it goes with professional attire.

For those of us that currently have Series 2 stainless watches the online trade-in places are only offering $330 at most for a Space Black 42mm model in excellent condition. :( Not much if you are planning on using that money towards a Series 3 stainless.

My exact thoughts! I love the SS and can't really imagine going back to the sport. The SS just looks so much better.
