I wonder if majority of dropped calls on iPhone 4 is the result of "proximity sensor issue" and not "antenna issue."

The proximity sensor has nothing to do with whether or not the phone has service/signal.

Stop asking these questions and do a search. There's at least 5 threads per page talking about this, no need to start up a new thread.

I know how I can tell:

If the call ends with that annoying  "BEEP-BEEP-BEEP", it was dropped.

If your cheek simply hit the "end call" button due to the proximity sensor issue, the call terminates silently.

No s*** Sherlock! I'm talking about people accidentally hanging up on people because their screen turned on while it was still pressed up against their faces.

F U. Who are you to tell me what I can start? Why don't you just not read it and move along.

You'll probably get a time out for that, lol.

Why don't you just search? It's not really that difficult..

Dropped calls? Hmm I have yet to drop a call. No I don't always show full bars, often 1 bar in the small rolling hills of San Antonio, but have yet to drop a call. Maybe I've just been lucky.

With people bitching all over the place, it's hard to find the right answers

Wow wow wow buster. If you were talking about accidentally hanging up on people maybe you should have said that! You said dropped calls, as in lack of service. I just answered what you asked. Don't blame me for your miswording.

I've actually wondered this myself. When I get a dropped call, I don't get the usual "retry call" screen, I am just at the home screen. I often wonder if it've somehow ended the call with my face or something.

I think it's entirely possible.
