Is Carbonite good online backup?

I just discovered it recently and was wondering if it was good for storing videos and pictures etc.

it works well for total backups under 100Gb. Over that and they slow down the upload. I have 600Gb and i had it running for 4 months and only had 240Gb or so, of my backup uploaded. I calculated it would take over a year to do the initial backup. I cancelled and since i was out of the "refund" period they declined the refund.
