iPod Is continual charging harmful?

I've got a Bose Soundock and whenever my iPod is in it, (overnight etc,) it gets charged up, (as the Bose is plugged in.) Is this harmful for the iPod?

No, but it never hurts to flex the iPods battery every now and then by running it down a bit.

If it was harmful, we'd be hearing reports from irate Bose/iPod owners. I think it's perfectly safe.
