When I open Activity Monitor I see a process called cvmsComp_x86_64, Is it legitimate?
I have noticed OS X sometimes launches some processes, but does not close them afterwards.
I believe this process launched after transferring a .pdf to another folder.

So I guess it's just part of OS X.
I hate when OS X opens up a process but does not close it down after use, so the only thing left to do is reboot my system. Don't know if it's worth it for a small process.

Does that process consume too much of your CPU?
Does Windows close a process properly after it is done with it?
Have you tried Activity Monitor and the (FORCE) QUIT button to quit that process?
