This is ESR:

I basically want a protector that has the best feel to the touch.

Also will a glass protector for iPhone 8 also work for iPhone 6?

The “feel” is usually due to the oleo phobic coating which varies. YouTuber channel Mobilereviewseh test the coating of a bunch if different ones including a true Sapphire one which had unique properties as well.

There’s so many though you’ll just have to do your own research.

I personally didn’t like the esr ones.I’ve had great luck with the Spigen I’ve the years. AmFilm is another good one

I've used ESR, AmFilm, and Spigen. I found the AmFilm to be more of a fingerprint magnet than the other two. I have now standardized on Spigen because they're so easy to install, even for a klutz like me!

My best results have been with Belkin Invisiglass. Expensive. Dropped my phone 4 feet face down on gravel and thought the screen was shatter. Turns out it was just the Invisiglass. Well worth the $.

I've been using ESR for the last few iPhones. I switched once Anker stopped making screen protectors. No complaints.

I found spigen protectors don’t work work well with Oakley polarised sunglasses so I changed to the ESR Amorite and have been very impressed

I see ESR amorite is only available for newer iPhones. Would a normal ESR work well for iPhone 6/6s/7?

I’ve only used the Amorite so afraid I cannot comment on any of ESR’s other protectors

I highly recommend the new Phone Rebel glass screen protectors. They’re a steal on Amazon ($9.99 for 3); I just put mine on yesterday, and love the full coverage combined with the PR Flex case.

I've been using Spigen's EZ Fit tempered glass screen protectors for a couple of years, I like them. Easy to fit and stays on.
