Is everyone's optical drive flimsy?

I mean, when you pick up your Mbp while a disc is spinning, does it scratch the disc or impead the disc from spinning? It seems like there should be more substantial support around the drive to protect it from being squeezed when picked up. Anyone else noticed any issues yet?

I asked this in a different thread, but I think I was misunderstood. Hopefully this clarifies it.

The clearance between the spinning disc and the laser emitter is microscopic. Therefore the optical drive has very low tolerance for sudden movements. Don't move your MBP when the disc is spinning.

Yeah, moving an optical drive while it's spun up isn't a good idea. The Xbox 360 is infamous for scratching disks, mostly because it's made to be used both standing upright and laying on it's side, and lots of people move it between those two with a disc spinning in the drive.
