Has anyone had an experience where FedEx is leaving your iPad delivery on the door step without a signature, or are they requiring a signature for all deliveries? I am starting to wish I had the iPad sent to my office instead of my house since it is doubtful anyone will be home to sign for it.

Typically Apple has an option on the order status screen to print out a signature release that you can leave at your front door.

Though with an brand new iPad, I'm not sure I'd want it left on my doorstep. You might have the option of picking it up at the FedEx facility after they've made one delivery attempt.

When I get my iPhone 4 the FedEx driver said even with the signed paper they wouldn't have left the package. It is still at the driver's discretion.

Yea I hate that, I ordered a Macbook Pro from MacMall once and it was left at my doorstep, and I live in a townhouse; Talk about speeding home from work
