Hi

Yesterday I purchased a copy of final cut express 3.5 on ebay for a Macbook. today I get a call from the seller saying that he is out of stock of 3.5 but could send me 3.0 plus the upgrade and a small refund which I was happy with.

However I was just wondering whether 3.0 was just for power pc and will it have to run under rosetta or does the upgrade make it native to intel.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

So if I understand correctly.

I will install 3.0 which will run under rosetta but when I then install the upgrade it will replace it with a universal binary version.

If so do I need to install the original if the update carries the whole program.

Unfortunately I can't remember from the last time I did this. I think you might only have to be able to provide the previous serial number from 3.0 to the installer for the 3.5 upgrade version...
