Title pretty much says it all- I have a late-2008 MacBook that I use GarageBand pretty much exclusively for editing and compressing the podcast that I co-host. I've not upgraded iLife since getting the computer since it's always worked just fine and I've not seen the need for buying the full suite of programs if I'd only really use the one.
However, with the launch of the App Store and the availability of GarageBand '11 as a discrete download, I'm curious whether there would be anything that would really make it worth the $15 it (apparently, I've not been home yet to see it for myself...) costs to get the new version. Most of the feature that were touted seem to be for those doing multitrack band recordings vs. the fairly simple podcast recordings that I work with that don't require adjusting beats or correcting for crappy drummers, so if there's no really compelling features for podcasters I'll likely pass on it.
Thanks!
