Gruber/Ritchie had a recent podcast wherein they say if HP is not mentioned, then there will be a 2019 reset. If it is mentioned and talked up, then Apple has decided to stay the course and look for a holiday sales boost. I couldn't be happier with my three HPs, so I see no need for a reset, just a push.

I highly doubt they'll do anything new with it. I bet they will mention some of the new features coming to it with iOS 12. Maybe a price drop to $300? Wishful thinking on my part. I would like to see them release a smaller version with not as good audio for like $150 or so. Would be nice to be able to have whole home Siri without dropping $350/room.

Price drop would seem the most valuable thing they could do at this point.

I would love to see what Apple could do with a larger speaker, though. IMO, until Siri sorts itself out they should concentrate on audio quality in and of itself. But to really do that, they need to establish themselves as an audio provider as opposed to a smart speaker provider, which I think requires a broader product range.
