Just opened my white and silver 5 and its got 2 dings in the aluminium (which I can forgive) and a fairly long curved scratch in the glass (which I cannot forgive). Good old Foxconn strikes again.....I'm not going to bother getting a replacement.

I'll be pissed if that happened to me. But how the hell do you prove that the marks are from manufacturing if this happens? Being there is no employee to witness the box being opened when you get one shipped.

You're really coming off as brash and uneducated.

It was probably damaged during shipping not during assembly. Apple would never pass inspection with these defects which is done digitally with laser mapping.

Either way its your loss.
