If it's a hardware update then existing 3g owners won't see any benefits however if it's the result of the new 3.0 os then we could all benefit. Any ideas?

My assumption is that the 3GS must have some kind of hardware improvement over the 3G's GPS since the 3G has me jumping all over the map/etc.

I've often said that even if Apple did allow a turn-by-turn GPS app on the 3G, I'd never use it due to the inaccuracy and jumpy positioning/etc. I'll be curious to see just how much better the 3GS is for providing reliable directions you can drive *safely* with.

The only thing I saw about improved GPS was with the TomTom App, and I think that improvement only comes if you buy their car dock (which must have a GPS antenna or something in it?)
