Is hard reset waste if i restore backup from itunes? Ios 11 buggy.

Hi,

Iphone6s ios11,

After new os update, device getting heatup and draining faster, i havelot of data in the phone,

Wanted to ask, what if i backup restore from itunes, does this cause bad stuff come again?

I mean bad caches,etc which cause battery drain, is there any relation with itunes old backup on new clean phone?
Im sorry its hard to describe,
If im wasting time if i do hard reset after backup from itunes, and then restore backup?
