I, like many people, share the use of my iPad with my wife. Sometimes this can be a bit of a hassle if you want to have different data available. For instance, we've set our iPad up to check both of our email accounts and can see each other's email.

One of the features that some people have wanted is the ability to have separate user accounts on the iPad like a Mac has. I'm wondering if an approximate solution would be logging into a different iCloud account under the Settings menu. I'm not sure exactly how this was architected by Apple to work, but I could foresee the iPad downloading your user data from iCloud including mail, contacts, calendars, photos, and documents.

No, I don't think iCould is designed to help you at all.

'Switching' would not be like switching accounts on a Mac. It would be more like "let's wait 10-20 minutes for everything to re-sync over the network."

I'd love user accounts on iPads too, but this isn't it.
