I was hoping that ios 7 would have imap push support, specifically for gmail - because I can't stand that app
I dont even mind paying gmail directly to keep active sync for my @gmail.com account

Think iOS will come out with it in the future? Or just buy a domain and set it up with google apps?

IMAP Push is there, Gmail stopped providing support for it.

Gmail stopped providing support to active sync

Imap push for gmail never existed on the iPhone. It's only a feature on yahoo and iCloud, and if they have that option I don't understand why it's so hard for them to add it for gmail

Exists on blackberry though, and works perfectly. And of course their android
