For new MacBook Pro, is in-store pick up option available after product announcement? I know delivery is always available right after Mac’s announcement, curious about the pick up option.

It usually is for new products and if they're finally making the 16GB machine a stock option there should be reasonable choice. Stores will also usually stock one BTO option as well, but presumably stock will be limited in the immediate future.
Apple always like to have some stock available in-stores, but it might need daily checking via the app to snag one.
I live in Southern California and there are pick up options for M1 iMacs everyday here. Just what I observe. I got one a couple of weeks ago and have been checking.
I'd like to know also when we could order online and get an in store pick up...even if it wasn't same day.
Out of the 12 stores around Apple HQ, only 2 have them a base model blue iMac in stock as of right now. None of the 12 stores have the mid-range or high-end iMac in stock in any color.
