Is Intel Montevina worth the wait?

I've seen recent penryn laptop reviews and they are not so great. 5% performance increase at best, and a little bit cooler. yawn.

I am in no hurry. Very satisfied with my macbook right now, but i still want a mbp

plus i hear there will have to be a complete redesign with montevina.

The redesign rumors are just that, rumors. Wait, they're not even that. They're "informed" guesses by people who have no clue, just like the rest of us.

If you don't need a MBP and you're happy with your MB, then you can wait until the MB implodes, leaving a distortion in the time-space continuum, and zip through the wormhole to 2011 when the MBP is .2" thick with though-controlled input. Hmm.. I might need to buy a MB myself, come to think of it!

In all seriousness though... I would recommend buying as soon as the update rolls around unless you are comfortable with another 6-8 month wait.
