i'm still on iOS6 on my iPad 3. Just wondering if it's still slow on iPad 3 with the latest release before I upgrade before I upgrade.

iOS 7 on my Mini runs fine sometimes, and nearly awful other times.... I use it for the same sites and apps 99.9999% of the time, so it's not because of that.

Runs kinda laggy on my iPad 3. Guess they want us to trade up to one of the newest ones, which I'll most likely do. trying to decide Mini or Air..but with the Mini not coming out till the end of the month it won't be possible to try them out side by side till then.

From what I read on another thread, 7.0.3 fixed all the issues on iPad 3's.

I did clean install (setup as new) of 7.0.3 in my iPad 3. So far I like it. Yes, I've had a few moments of glitchy-ness, but all in all I love it (and this is coming from a jailbreak).

The only major probs I've had is that it has resprung a couple of times, but this happened in 3rd party apps.

Do I miss my JB? At times, yes, but not as much as I thought I would. However, I just wish AirDrop was compatible with my iPad.

HTH

Typical, absolutely nothing wrong with iPad 3 hardware yet obselete already, only released a year and a half ago.

Mine is slow I also have a note 8 tab, and I really like my iPad on iOS 6. was very fast and responsive.

Now I hate it and each time I pick it up I just feel like waiting to open an app, open keyboard, and so on...

I usually like apple products but I too much time for such a buggy OS. People say that reset but is not a windows PC...

Really disappointed and no planning to change with a new one

Wait for 7.1!

iOS 7.x is something I'm a little iffy on with the iPad 3rd generation.

From my use of it, I have had multiple experiences with this. I guess it really depends on your "mileage" on your iPad 3. If it's been used heavily, I'd say your experience may vary from someone who has used less of their iPad 3.

It's hard to say

I wiped my iPad 3 clean about a month ago and restored iOS 7 from the backup in iTunes. Not sure if that qualifies as a fresh install. I did want all of my apps and settings back.

I use the Google search app a lot. But it crashes all the time. I don't remember it crashing as much under iOS 6, but can't say for sure.

Netflix loads painfully slow. I also use it a lot with Chromecast, which is buggy under Netflix. Sometimes I need to close the app, remove it from memory, and reload it to get Chromecast synced properly. I have the iPhone 5S, which runs Netflix much more smoothly, with the faster processor.

Also I am getting keyboard lag, which I never got when my iPad 3 was new. Reminds me of my iPad 1 before I retired it.

Sure hope iOS 7.1 solves this! I don't want to buy a new iPad, at least not for another year.
