I'm getting an iPod Touch 5G today, and I was wondering if I could charge it with the USB power adapter that comes with the iPad 3. Has anyone tried it?

Thanks a lot for the help. :)

p.s. Please excuse my English if it were to cause any confusion or misunderstanding because I'm not a native speaker. Thank you. :)

It wont work. The new iPod has the lighting connector.

I think the OP is referring to the power brick that plugs into the wall, not the cable itself.

Yes, the power adapter itself will work fine.

^Talking about the power adapter.

I don't see why it wouldn't. They both use USB. Just take out the 30 pin to USB cord and then plug the lighting to USB one in. That's what i plan on doing anyway seeing as the ipod touch doesn't seem to come with a power adapter.
