Is iphone 5 music really bad SQ?

Iv been shopping for a car receiver which will play music off my Iphone 5 and am getting closer to a decision.. But then I researched the Iphone 5's ability to store and play high quality music and find its lacking in SQ..

I need CD sound quality short and sweet. Whats the best way for me to retain that quality and play it through my car stereo from files?

If your car stereo has iphone/ipod compatible usb then the sound quality of the iphone is irrelevant as the stereo plays the files and uses its own DAC.

The quality would only vary depending on the bit rate of the audio files and the quality of your car stereo.

The highest quality would be from apple lossless audio but you won't store much on an iphone in that format.

So connected with usb, the car receiver plays the file not the phone..

But connected via the headphone jack or bluetooth, would require the phone to play the file?

Sorry, I need to find a tutorial since this is all new to me.

Any suggestions on hardware for playing lossless music on a car stereo?
