I have a Windows moblie 5.0 pocket pc. My Macbook stays in my office and is always connected to my router using wifi. Now is it possible to access files on my Macbook`s HDD by connecting my Pocket PC to this wifi router? Which software should I get for this?

Thanx for your time.

Yup, there should be no problems doing this.

You will not require anything else as OSx has this ability already.

Sharing things other than your home dir will require extra effort though.

Have a look here for some info.

Can't say I've tried this myself, because I keep my files on a linux box, I guess samba is t he same there though and that works!

Windows 5 LAN access

Heya,

I have a NAS on my LAN and I accessed it, read files and played MP3's (although I had to copy them locally to the PDA).

I'm not too clued up on Mac shares, but if you made it look like a Samba share(?) I think you can do it.
